Where the ocean begins (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Andre Bräuer

Where the Ocean Begins captures the meeting point between land and sea from an almost aerial perspective. A warm, textured shoreline curves into layers of turquoise, blue and deep navy, creating a strong contrast between the calmness of the beach and the depth of the ocean.

Expressive palette-knife textures and layered acrylic paint give the water a sense of constant movement. White, energetic marks trace the breaking waves along the shoreline, while small palm trees and colorful details introduce a subtle tropical atmosphere.

The composition moves from warm sand into increasingly deep shades of blue, suggesting a transition from the familiar into the unknown. Where the Ocean Begins is inspired by the feeling of standing at the edge of the land and looking toward the seemingly endless possibilities beyond the shore.
