Original artwork description:

This work explores light not as illumination, but as a carrier of memory. The surface is built slowly, through layers of acrylic, pastel, sand, and fragments of printed text, creating a dense, tactile field where color and matter accumulate like sediment.

The composition is divided horizontally, evoking a horizon or threshold—an in-between space where perception shifts. Above, the pale, luminous tones suggest air and distance; below, warmer pigments and physical textures gather weight, movement, and residue. Embedded text fragments appear partially buried, readable only in moments, like memories surfacing and receding.

Rather than depicting a specific place, the painting holds an atmosphere: the sensation of a particular light that suddenly awakens something familiar yet unplaceable. The work invites slow looking, allowing the viewer to move between material presence and emotional recall, between what is seen and what is felt.

About
My painting is rooted in the observation of light as a trigger for memory and perception. I am interested in those fleeting moments when an ordinary image — a shadow, a surface,... Read more
