In the vintage landscape artwork WHEN TIME STOOD STILL a woman stands still in the tall, withered dune grass. Behind her is an old caravan on the edge of the dunes, with the suggestion of a sea behind it, hidden in a mysterious, hazy mist.

The mixed media collage technique, to deliberately create weathered layers, gives the image a nostalgic, almost surreal atmosphere.

Like a yellowed Polaroid photo from a forgotten time.

The work exudes melancholy and evokes memories of childhood beach holidays. The woman looks out over the dune landscape and seems trapped in a moment that lasts forever. The silence, the colors, the textures: everything feels like a dream. Who is she? What is she doing there alone?
