A hazy light out to sea,
Azure blue and pale turquoise,
Feeling the heatwave,
Dried sea grasses,
Always beautiful.
Words and meaning of my experience looking out to sea from the Dorset coast.
Original impressionist watercolour on rough textured watercolour paper Saunders Waterford 300gsm 140lb.
I see this often when driving along the Chesil beach road from Weymouth to the Isle of Portland. This watercolour was from my inspiration in Summer.
I used a wet on wet technique for the sky and sea. I then applied with my Chinese brushes dragging the paint to form the grasses by the edge of the beach.
Signed on the front and back of painting. Dated and titled on the back.
