Original artwork description
Painting worked from free improvisation. Action painting with music by Arcade Fire (included the Deep Blue theme).
Humans, technology, Nature, evolution, music, the passage of time.
We who didn't have a cell phone, who listened to music on cassettes, where the world chess champions beat the machines. In a flash everything changes, technology changes us, everything moves very quickly. We are humans, we are just animals although it may not seem like it.
Everything passed through the filter of a dream and built on a wall marked by graffiti and the passage of time, in a big city.
We, who are Nature but who have become something else.
Gestural, intuitive painting, which lets things happen and relies on what appears. Taking advantage of the accident and accepting the consequences.
The unknown, what slips through our fingers... Nature, antiquity, the earthly and the spiritual.
Need to tell things, to leave a mark, to understand the world, which is always modern and ancient.
Nothing matters much... Working with a lost gaze...
Materials used:
acrylic, gesso, pigments, charcoal, wax, graphite
Details:
- Mixed-media painting on Canvas
