Original artwork description:

We just popped out for a walk, and spotted a random hedge, in full late spring glory. A cacophony of colour, and explosion of shapes. As part of my 'rest' series, exploring what everyday moments of peace and rest can look like, noticing often overlooked places of glory. I spotted this in a Tamarix Parviflora Tetrandra hedge in late spring and it's delicate, feathery pink foliage captivated me. Brought me a lot of joy. Pinks meet green and blue, with pops of lime. The brush marks are expressive and gestural.
