This painting was created while reading Cormac McCarthy's "The Road." Some of the phrases repeated by the characters are incorporated into the work as graffiti.

A story of the past and present. The unknown, what slips through our fingers... Nature, antiquity, the earthly and the spiritual.

We think we are gods, but we are just monkeys who have risen above it.

Gestural, intuitive painting that lets things happen and leans on what appears. Taking advantage of the unexpected and accepting the consequences.

A need to tell stories, to leave a mark, to understand the world, which is always both modern and ancient.
