Original artwork description
Its about this time of year when Waxwings are sighted in the UK. It's November and we have loads of berries on the trees (I think it has been a 'mast' year), so I am hoping to spot my first ever Waxwing. I have seen the geese flying in formation across the meadow. I hear them first and then if I am quick I will see them heading across from east to west in the morning and vice versa in the evening.
The painting is a response to this time of year with wonderful pink sunsets and crisp bright mornings. It is painted in an impressionistic style using a limited palette of pinks, blues, purples and peachy tones. It is framed in a white wooden float frame and is ready to hang.
