Ocean..... Magnificent, Powerful, Inspiring ocean! You can be wild and intimidating. Under the radiant blaze of the midday sun, a boat is driven by the wild, oceanic blue surf, inching relentlessly toward the jagged stones of the shore. The waves, fierce and untamed, seize the vessel with their powerful embrace, propelling it through a frothy ballet of crashing waves and shimmering light. Each surge brings the boat closer to the stones, its once-sturdy hull now tossed and twisted by the sea's unyielding force.

The sunlight, brilliant and unfiltered, casts a golden sheen over the turbulent scene, illuminating the boat’s battered form as it is pushed and battered by the surf. The contrast between the sunlit brilliance and the chaotic waves heightens the boat’s poignant struggle—a magnificent yet sorrowful testament to the raw power of nature and the fragility of human endeavor. As the boat is driven ever closer to the stones, it becomes a symbol of both relentless determination and the inescapable pull of the sea, captured in a moment where beauty and turmoil collide in the unforgiving dance of sunlight and surf.
This painting was named "Wave over Wave", inspired by the “Wave Over Wave” song by Jim Payne & Fergus O’Byrne

Original one-of-a-kind acrylic on wide-edges canvas impressionistic style seascape, inspired by the magnificent views of North Atlantic shores of Canada. This painting is sold unframed with the wire connected to eye hooks on the back of stretchers. The painting continues over the borders of the canvas, so it can be hung unframed as it. If you wish to purchase it framed, please contact me. A signed certificate of authenticity is attached
