This is a framed painting I displayed in an exhibition in London called Two Colours. The brief was to create a piece within our unique style with the limited colour palette of red and black (plus the white of the page).
So I combined it with my usual pop art approach to food but also added unique hand drawn and painted lettering spelling out the word watermelon. The result is a minimal, modern, and eye-catching graphic painting that would brighten up any home. It's all painted in acrylic paint on card, and framed in a white frame.
20 inches x 28 inches
50 cm x 70 cm
Frame is roughly 1 inch or 2 cm thick.
These are the details of the frame from the Habitat website - "Italian made Aluminus picture frame made from lightweight aluminium in white finish. Holds picture size 50 x 70cm and can be hung portrait or landscape." I'd be willing to discuss a cheaper price for the unframed piece.
PLEASE NOTE: The second from last image shows the piece in the exhibition setting and the final image is the flyer.
I've been inspired to create work like this by classic pop artists like Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein but also by contemporary graphic design artists.
Postage will be first class and packaged flat with bubble wrap.
