The painting explores the dynamic rhythm of reflections on the water surface, created from above by rays of sunlight and clouds, and from below by reed growing in water. The result is almost abstract, even though the painting is actually based on carefully observing the movement of natural elements. This demonstrates that organic forms themselves often assume an 'abstract' form. From a distance the painting appears almost photorealistic, becoming more abstract as the distance between the painting and the viewer diminishes.
