This cat is doing what all cats seem to spend a lot of time engaged with – having a wash! A rhythmal, peaceful activity, which it always seems that they engage with as much for its calming effect as for the cleanliness. I love to watch cats grooming themselves, and thoughtfully moving from one beautifully rounded and carefully selected part of their luscious bodies to another. They seem so smooth and well-manicured for a creature that is entirely covered in fur!

This sculpture is made of bronze, with the traditional dark brown patination colour. It is free-standing, rather than having been mounted on a base, so that you can pick it up and turn it around to see it from underneath. It has the reassuringly heavy weight of bronze, and is a beautiful addition to your table or shelves. Please feel free to message me with any questions.
