In this painting, I captured a moment where the figure stands at the precipice of an unknown journey. The swirling colors of fire and shadow above suggest the turbulence of the mind, perhaps a dream or an intruding vision. The figure’s silhouette is small but determined, illuminated by a road of light ahead, seemingly walking into another dimension. This piece reflects the powerful themes of self-discovery and the courage to explore the uncharted, inspired by my experiences with REM intrusion.
I’m a London-based artist, and my work often reflects vivid and surreal imagery inspired by my unique experience with REM intrusion—a condition where dream-like visions can appear while I’m awake. My paintings explore the boundary between waking reality and the dream world, using layered compositions to create a sense of depth and movement.
I paint with high-quality materials and put a lot of thought into texture and detail. My process is a mix of intuitive brushwork and deliberate layering, aiming to create pieces that are rich in emotion and invite you to see something new each time you look at them.
