Inspired by a blackbird that often visits my garden. he sits and watches as other birds feed, just waiting for his moment to hop down and peck up the crumbs which have fallen from the feeder. So patience pays dividends, if only we take the time to wait. The title is taken from the Beatles song of this name. The use of a palette knife introduces minimal texture and a contemporary vibe to an evocative painting.

It would pair well with 'White, White Dove' which is the same size and painted in a similar style.

This painting is sold unframed but is suitable to do so should you wish. I do not varnish my paintings , as I prefer the slightly chalky look of the oils as laid down. If you would like it varnished before sending, I can do so at no extra cost.

The painting is signed, dated and titled on the reverse and initialled on the front.
