I love the way light reflects and refracts in the water and spend a lot of time trying to capture it in my paintings. I took some pictures of this wharf when we were in NZ earlier in the year and have had the photo on my studio wall for ages meaning to paint it but not sure what to do with it. I have been painting on the round a bit recently and really like the way the circular canvas affects the image.
