Wabi-Sabi #2

"...nothing is perfect, nothing is permanent, and nothing is finished. Intuitively, we sense that things are most beautiful when they begin to wither. "

In a series of my new artworks, I do find myself …“in a search of imperfection”. It makes me emotionally close to Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetics, with its simplicity, roughness, and modesty. Nothing needs to be fixed! No more technological polish, silicon, or visual clarity! Only imperfect glazes, gentle flaws, asymmetry, and uneven lines. Practicing imperfection in art helped me realize that things are the most beautiful when they are unfinished or begin to fade. Like never before, now I sense serenity in aging when scars become signs of experience, rust and patina become a new elegance…
