Textured figurative abstract with warm contrasting colors; the bodies and people are intimate yet vaguely realized. the theme of the painting is the coloring, it is a statement that grabs my attention and then leads me to look at details; also derived from my ambivalence for large formal social or other gatherings. The closeness of people and personal space are conflicting needs that I try to balance - when I am in India the physical interactions with people are overwhelming and comforting at the same time
