Villa amongst the Orange Trees, Mallorca (2021) Original Watercolour by Annie Meier

This is an unframed watercolour by artist Annie Meier.

View across a wonderful landscape in southern mallorca, towards a small villa. This was a small hamlet called Biniaraix, outside soller. The stunning colours and different forms really inspired me to create something vibrant.

I love to paint mallorca and try to bring out the stunning bright light you get there.

Watercolour is one of my favourite mediums as you can achieve beautiful layers of translucent colour, and create some wonderful impressionisitic works.

I soaked the paper in water and used gum strip to stick the painting to the board, in order to keep the paper flat. So, a mount will be required when you frame this.
