Viking, Aldeburgh, is a beautiful, small realist oil painting, measuring 8 x 8 inches (approx 20 x 20cm).
Inspired by the artist's frequent visits to the small fishing town of Aldeburgh on the Suffolk coast, the painting captures a familiar scene on the stony beach.
The artist’s unsentimental approach to his subjects combine two great passions - a love of traditional painting techniques and a fascination with the photographic image. The result of this are paintings that are both painterly and highly realistic.
