The Vermont State House sits at the foot of a hillside that, in mid-October, burns with color. From above, the geometry of its grounds becomes clear: granite steps, a stone path bisecting the lawn, lamp posts spaced with civic precision, flower beds holding their last warmth before frost. The white columns of the portico catch the pale autumn light, and the gold dome faces the sun with the same unapologetic brightness as the maples crowding the ridge behind it.

The hill at the building's back is thick with hardwoods turned to amber, rust, and a deep arterial red. From this height the foliage reads as texture rather than individual trees, a dense living wall that makes the statehouse feel held rather than exposed. The dome's gilded surface and the hillside's burning color belong to the same palette, the same brief week of the year when Vermont arranges itself like this and then, within days, begins to let go.

Quality is about longevity. I use a high-resolution Canon R5 Mark II to capture every detail of the Vermont landscape. Each piece is printed in-studio using professional-grade Canon Pro-1100 and Epson P9000 systems with archival pigment inks on natural cotton paper to create a print that will last for generations.

Print only, with a 1/4 inch wide white border for convenient matting and/or framing.
Unmatted (unmounted) / unframed.

Materials used:

Shot on a Canon EOS R5 Mark II. Printed on a Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 using museum-grade archival pigment inks on archival satin photo paper.
