Original artwork description
I like ancient mythology, fairy tales and always find inspiration in them. Once I hear or read a legend, I begin to create visions and images, but never know what it will be in the end. This fantasy is born from the ancient legend about Venus, her grief, her tears and how red poppies emerged in our world.
Oil painting made on stretched canvas, with a palette knife. Edges are painted, so there is no need for framing. D-rings attached on the back, ready to hang. Covered with dammar varnish to preserve color and protect from UV light, dust and moisture.
