Original artwork description
The reflections in the water drew me to paint this version of Venezia. It's similar to the composition of the same titled piece ''001''. The Gondolier is taking a small group of tourists through the narrow canals and the light on the water that creates such interesting shapes bring the composition together.
This is the fourth artwork on the theme of Venice. This time the viewer is invited to view a scene through the street canals of the city following a Gondolier as they navigate through the streets the the open water ahead. On both sides are rustic warn and intriguing houses opening out tht canal below. Their weathered exteriors and well kept balcony's giv ehtis view the perspective and old Venetian feel that makes us think of the city.
