Urban Shapes II (2025)Linocut

This is the second edition (with some changes) of my Urban Shapes print I made a couple of years ago and sold out.
It is one of the larger Linocut prints I’ve created and consists of two blocks, the colour base and the line work printed on the top.
My interest is not to make a realistic depiction but to concentrate on the shapes and patterns I perceive within an image in front of me. Although it is obvious this is a cityscape, I have pared down certain details and shading which would usually be expected in an urban portrayal and turned it into something almost abstract and decorative.
Please be aware that because I love to experiment with colour that my editions are variable, I have only made two in this colour palette. As these are handmade you may see some textural anomalies and registration slips but these are minimal and make the print unique and clearly made by hand and not a digitally enhanced copy.
As this a large print, to keep shipping costs down, I will send this carefully rolled in a sturdy tube.
