Original artwork description
My research has begun with the study of the human body. With time my interest has expanded to natural elements such as leaves, barks, tree trunks and rocks.
The merging of these different worlds gave life to hybrid forms.
There is no more a definitive boundary between man and nature.
Limbs become trunks and viceversa.
This has led me back to the concept of Unity.
In union there is no more clear separation.
There isn’t a linear separation between humans, like there isn’t between the human body and nature itself.
In a world characterized by extreme individualism, it would be important to reflect back on the concepts of interconnectedness and identity.
Invisible strings connect us to each other and to the planet Earth.
Materials used:
oil colors, graphite, ink on canvas.
