People throughout the world will agree that 2020 has been a year like no other. We continue to face the COVID 19 pandemic that threatens our lives, impacts our economies, our families, our workplaces, our social fabric. In addition to this, every individual faces the stressors that come with our own personal struggles and challenges. We've all dealt with stress as best we can; but we're only human, and there's no shame in finding that there are limits to what we can bear in a given moment. For me personally, I have dealt with these atypical threats and burdens by trusting in my faith. This painting was created after a particularly demanding time, when I drew comfort from the words of Psalm 91: "He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart." I hope that you will find this same comfort and that this painting will be a reminder to you of it, even in that blessed time when COVID is just a memory.
