This painting is created following my walk on one hot summer day. My family, dog and I were on our way home, turning off onto a footpath leading from Totteridge to Mill Hill (North London) through some fields and farms. One of the fields had a line of trees and a tall grass, the sun just started to slowly go down and its rays were streaming through the branches and foliage of the trees, creating a wonderful contrast. It was such a beautiful, quiet, peaceful moment outdoors with my family and it inspired this painting.
