Original artwork description:

I painted this piece in the Autumn when this group of trees had shed most of their leaves to reveal distant pine trees in the background. I really enjoyed this palette and the subtle hints of mauve in the trees and foreground which compliment the brighter orange colouring of the forest floor. I use high quality professional oil paints which give my work longevity. The painting is set in a good quality, white painted wood frame with a small shadow gap between canvas and frame to enhance the image.
