Original artwork description:

Every day, we have a new opportunity to recommit ourselves, or turn back, to our best goals. But the phrase can also mean to turn back, or move farther away from, our greatest good. The choice is ours, and the importance of moving forward can help to keep us on course. But the good news is that, even if we've made some harmful choices, we can--at any moment--turn back to a better path. The inspiration for this painting came from the Book of Numbers, when the people of Israel rebelled and refused to take possession of the promised land. They were told, "Now, since the Amalekites and Canaanites dwell in the valleys, turn tomorrow and set out for the wilderness by the way to the Red Sea. "(14:25) They were given a chance to redeem themselves by acting in a spirit of trust, and this merciful chance awaits all of us as we face each day. This painting has been sealed with a satin varnish for protection. Hanging hardware is already installed.

Materials used:

acrylic and oil on canvas
