"Tulips" is an acrylic painting on canvas developed over an extended period of time. I began working on it in the spring of 2022, painting directly from life and carefully observing the freshness, structure, and movement of the flowers. The work was completed in 2023, when I returned to the canvas and finished it from memory, allowing reflection and emotional distance to reshape the composition.

The bouquet of red, coral, and yellow tulips stands in a transparent glass vase placed on a simple stool, framed by a softly articulated interior space. Gentle transitions of pastel blues, warm neutrals, and muted shadows create an atmosphere of quiet light and intimacy. The balance between direct observation and later reinterpretation gives the painting both immediacy and a sense of poetic recollection.

What began as a study of living flowers gradually transformed into a meditation on time, presence, and memory. The result is a still life that feels luminous, personal, and contemplative.
