Artwork description:

This is a sculpture of a trotting horse from my series of trotting horses. The trot is a very even pace, if sometimes a little bouncy, as both sets of legs move in diagonal pairs, and the horse can maintain it over some distance. As a base for forward movement, the rest of the horse can then express other emotions on top of that. This horse has a self-assured expression and strong movement, suggesting that he knows exactly who he is and what he is about, and he is defiantly going to do his own thing!

Trotting Horse II is made of painted resin and mounted on a beautiful oak base. It is initialled on the inside of its left hind leg, and comes with a signed letter of authentication. It is just the right size to sit on your desk, shelves or mantlepiece and look as if it is running across its own landscape there. Although delicately modelled, the object itself is much more robust than you might imagine, and can stand up to a few knocks in its daily life.
