Artwork in which I created an imaginary portrait of Rinaldo Franci (Siena 1852–1907), composer and exceptional concert violinist. We know of his violin tours in Europe (1886), Argentina (1887), and the United States, as well as his ongoing collaboration with theaters in Siena. One of his recitals in particular was so successful that it made Franci something of a local idol, even earning him the admiration of Pietro Mascagni. In this painting, I wanted to capture the musician's passionate soul, his intense gaze, and the delicacy with which he touches the violin. I used oil to bring expressive realism to life, conveying vibrant emotions. The work brings energy and depth, awakening a sense of imposing creative force in the environment. It is a tribute that also recounts the link between art and the intensity of feelings that have never faded with time.
