Artwork depicting a portrait of Mino Maccari (Siena 1898 - 1989). The background refers to a detail of Siena's Palazzo Pubblico, whose majesty embraces the portrait of the well-known Italian writer, painter, engraver and journalist in his typical attitude of smoking a Tuscan cigar, which dominates the foreground of the painting. I wanted to capture the intensity and depth of a tormented soul, inspired by realism and expressionism. Through the soft shades of oil, I conveyed the emotions hidden behind a gaze that reflects both wisdom and melancholy. This work brings an introspective strength and warm energy that will enrich any environment with a touch of authentic and deep humanity.
