Drawing in ink on paper in which I wanted to capture the intensity and depth of the gaze of Fabio Bargagli Petrucci (1875-1939), an Italian historian and politician born into one of the most prominent families in Siena, in fact he held the title of Marquis. He graduated in law at the age of 21 and cultivated with particular passion from his youthful years a cult for Sienese history and art. The composition of his portrait is articulated by blending realism with an essential and vibrant stroke, exuding an expressive energy that, even in its simplicity, reveals soul and character. This artwork brings an intense and reflective atmosphere, capable of animating any space with emotion and inner strength.
