Square Île de France is a hidden sanctuary of Paris, tucked just behind the majestic Notre-Dame Cathedral. Wrapped in greenery and filled with quiet, it appears to be a perfect retreat. Beneath the garden lies the Memorial to the Martyrs of the Deportation — a solemn space dedicated to 200,000 lives taken from France during World War II.
