For a long time I had the idea of creating a modular painting, as such works can make a striking contribution to a contemporary interior. Yet, unlike most modular pieces that are merely a single image split into segments, my intention was to approach it as a kind of triptych. In this way, each part could exist as an independent work, while together they would reveal a unified artistic vision.
To bring this vision to life, I turned to the theme of trees, whose forms and spirit seemed perfectly suited to such an approach. This is how I envision the character of the trees.
