Original artwork description:

A painting of one of my favourite trees, the Scots Pine. I wanted to capture their grandeur against the forest background, so typical of where I live in Sussex UK. The palette is a rich, deep green with loose brush strokes to describe the near and far foliage. The canvas is set in a painted wood frame, with a shadow gap between canvas and frame to enhance the painting.
