Original artwork description
This monotype is one of a series of subtractive monotypes made in my studio from drawings and photos done on walks along the Thames estuary. The inky marks reflect the flat moody landscape and the rainy skies.
This print has been printed right to the edge on Somerset Waterleaf paper which is an unsized paper so that when damp it absorbs the ink in a wonderful and unique way. Sadly this paper is no longer made.
