Artwork description
I've lived outside of my home country for over a third of my life now. And it's funny how in being away, I'm able to feel a connection to things from my home that never resonated with me when I lived there. Northern California is known for it's redwood forests and foggy coastline. When I'm able to be there now the sensory overload of its familiar scents and sights brings me nearly to tears. But in Europe I often come across elements that transport me home. The smell of sunbaked pine needles in the hilltops of Cypress filled me with memories of childhood summers in the woods. While the English seaside is lined with it's own misty cliffs. It seems that the land is calling me home in new and nourishing ways.
As all prints are hand pressed, each will have some minor differences, which I believe adds to the character of the print. I cannot guarantee that you will receive the edition featured in the photo.
