Original artwork description:

the North Yorkshire moors are quixotic and the colours can be a bit too fleeting. However, I was delighted to capture an image of the moorland behind the well loved Robin Hood's Bay in North Yorkshire. I've used both saturated and muted colours to capture some of the wildness the moor evokes. Using strong palette knife strokes and selective blending with both hogs hair brushes and the knife, I hope I've described some of the feelings this region elicites in the visitor.
The painting has bound grosgrain edges giving it a clean, contemporary finish and is ready to hang, but may be framed. Includes certificate of authenticity.

Materials used:

oil paints, palette knives and hogshair brushes
