On the brow of the hill, Tondorf is a typical village in the Eifel region of Germany with its church tower and, beside it, its tall May tree. This is how I saw it on the horizon having just arrived for a few days of painting. "Eifel Village with May Tree" was painted on site, standing among the long golden grasses and widlflowers. The summer sky with just a few loose clouds finish off the light and breezy mood. Beautiful Eifel - I am looking forward to visiting you again!
This unique, original watercolour painting was painted en plein air in the Eifel region of Germany on 300g rough Arches watercolour paper using Windsor and Newton paints. It comes mounted in a warm white mount to fit a standard frame size of 50x70cm and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
