To Kingston and the Isle of Purbeck sunset, Dorset
So many colours in the sky,
Mango orange, peach, yellow and lilac blue,
Uplifting and beautiful,
Muted hilltops and ancient woodland,
Beyond the ridge and the village of Kingston you can see the sea.
Words and feelings.
Original impressionist watercolour on extra rough textured watercolour paper cold pressed bockingford 425 gsm 200 lb. I used my inspiration of seeing this view on my way back from Swanage and as you approach the village of Corfe I saw this spectacular view with the sunset.
I used my medium chinese hake for the wet on wet back washes, sweeping across the paper using many shades that I had made with four tubes of paint. This painting would look great in a contemporary flat wide gold frame or white washed wood frame with a 2 and half inch mount.
