From the series The Lost Choice
This linocut presents a grown woman accompanied by two lambs — an image that echoes the symbolism of innocence introduced earlier in childhood. In this work, however, the figure appears in a later stage of life. What once represented purity and vulnerability now returns as memory, responsibility, and experience carried through time.
Alena Kuschnereit is a contemporary artist based in Germany.
Her work has been presented in numerous international exhibitions and is held in private collections across Europe and beyond.
She has participated in a range of exhibitions, showcasing her distinctive visual language and ongoing exploration of themes such as identity, memory, loss.
