"Threshold" captures a human figure suspended in a moment of profound transition — between the earthly and the spiritual, the physical and the emotional. Sculpted in pale air-drying clay, the figure appears to emerge from a dark, heavy wooden base — a material anchor that suggests memory, burden, or deeply rooted past.

The figure’s shoulders are raised, arms crossed around the neck in a gesture of both vulnerability and inner tension. The face is turned upward, eyes closed — as if caught in a quiet moment of transformation, pain, or release.

From the back, jagged wooden forms erupt like scorched wings or smoke — not symbols of flight, but of struggle, weight, and the scars of experience. They evoke a sense of fallen grace or the cost of becoming.

"Threshold" is not a step forward — it is the breath held just before. The sculpture embodies the fragile yet powerful state of standing on the edge — of change, of revelation, of becoming something new.
