This is the third, and probably the last of the paintings I have made around this composition. This painting is on a bigger scale than the other two, and incorporates a little more detail. The scene is the ice skating ring installed each winter in the Princes Street gardens, Edinburgh. I am keen to paint figures in motion in my paintings, and may do more in due course, though not necessarily skaters,
