In a dense forest we find an unlikely scene.
Despite the gentle humour of the painting, an intimacy and soft melancholy can be found.
The large eyes of the squid describe a sadness; an unease of what the future may hold. A suggestion, perhaps, of a life lived solely for the memories of another time.
