The Unruly Garden came from that feeling of wanting to hold onto something real, something grounding, when everything else feels a bit too much.
I let this one grow in its own way. The paint moves, spills, overlaps, and finds its place without being forced. The flowers aren’t perfect, they aren’t carefully arranged, they just exist as they are, a bit wild, a bit messy, but completely alive. That felt important while I was painting it.
There’s a heaviness in the lower part where everything gathers, like growth happening all at once. Then it lifts into that quieter space above. I left that deliberately. Not as emptiness, but as a place to breathe. A reminder that it’s okay to pause, even when everything else is full and moving.
