This title was taken from a book I was reading and seemed to capture the mysteriousness of this semi-abstract, semi-surreal mountainscape.  The apricot skies give the painting a dream-like quality and the moss on the mountainside has a velvety appearance, again creating a sense of softness.  Nevertheless, the piece has drama as well as stillness and in this much reminds me of the Scottish highlands, which I have visited and look forward to visiting again.  This particular painting has a higher price tag than my other works as it is a signature work.
