The Timeless Tide is an image about solitude and hope, about reflection and dreams.... As a large print on canvas I hope to create a window to the sea and a dreamy sense of losing time. Imagine you are walking in a mist of muted colour in a place where, like the tide endlessly coming and going, there are no limitations or restrictions to your thoughts. You have time to reconnect and regenerate.
From my new Hebridean Harmonies Series inspired by the works of Post-Impressionist Seurat. I have always loved his delicate contrasting colours and how they work together as a whole to create the effect of soft light and transparency. As a child I would stare at the picture we had of the Canal of Gravelines and be fascinated that up close, the tiny dots of colour were in complete contrast to one another yet from afar the effect was of harmony and subtle colour tones.
Printed large at 90 x 60 inches, it’s designed to bring atmosphere and calm to a spacious room.
About This Print
Printed on softly textured, museum-grade canvas using archival, non-fade inks—each piece is produced by hand in my studio on the Isle of Skye. If you prefer fine art paper or a bespoke size, I’d be delighted to accommodate.
I photograph and print every image myself, ensuring full control over colour, tone, and texture from start to finish. This allows me to create a final piece that faithfully reflects the emotion and detail of the original scene.
Print Size
Image 90 x 60 inches, including a 2-inch white border—ideal for statement spaces above a sofa, bed, or entryway. Smaller sizes are also available.
