Inspired by Roald Dahl's short story The Sound Machine, written in 1949, this piece reflects the deep sorrow that I imagine trees across the world communicate to one another as their kin fall. As we now know (Bais et al. 2004), plants are capable of large-scale communication, warning one another of encroaching forest fires, drought, or deforestation. It is heartbreaking and terrifying to witness the destruction of our planet, witnessing only apathy and greed from those with the power to effect change.
This piece is ready to hang, signed and dated on the back, and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. It will be carefully wrapped in tissue and foam board, packed in a cardboard box, and shipped within 3 working days.
