I decided to depict this scene because it brings back memories from my childhood and reflects a Ukrainian folk sign: if you hear a train from afar, it will rain. Ukraine’s developed train system, with tracks passing through countless settlements, plays a significant role in daily life. The distant sound of a train, a symbol of connection between large cities and small villages, evokes the timeless belief passed down through generations. This painting, rendered in bold red and blue hues, merges modern style with tradition, capturing the relationship between nature, sound, and Ukrainian culture. It symbolizes the continuity of folklore and the rhythms of life that remain rooted in the landscape.
